A student in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles and a participant of the Killing School Semester featured in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Her title is the Ultimate Child Caregiver (超高校級の保育士 lit. Super High School Level Nursery School Teacher).

Her real talent is the Ultimate Assassin (超高校級の暗殺者 lit. Super High School Level Assassin). She initially pretends to be a Child Caregiver instead because she says that when people discover she's an assassin, they either end up hating her or trying to kill her.

In the end, Maki is one of three survivors of the Killing School Semester.
