The second Lockon. He pilots the Cherudim Gundam and Gundam Zabanya, and—like his older brother—hails from Dublin, Ireland.

He is the twin brother of the original Lockon, Neil Dylandy, and bears a striking physical resemblance to him. Consequently, he is frequently mistaken for his brother—a situation that has led him to remark that he is "sick of" the reactions he gets when this happens.

Because he attended boarding school during his youth, Lyle was away from his hometown and thus escaped the suicide bombing that claimed his family.

While he shares his brother Neil's good nature, he is somewhat less emotionally mature. After the decisive battle against the ELS, when Setsuna brought in a successor Meister, Lyle—along with Allelujah—was quick to point out how "absurd" the personnel decision was. Although he was initially the least emotionally mature of the Gundam Meisters, he grew significantly throughout the story.

Furthermore, being a twin meant he was often compared to his brother; there are several instances where he voices sentiments suggesting he harbors an inferiority complex regarding his highly capable sibling.
