Maetel Legend

The princess of a dying world, young Maetel faces starvation and death. Only machines can survive in the new environment, and one by one, an evil scientist transforms her loved ones into soulless mechanoids. Once he captures Maetel and her fiery twin sister, Emeraldas, he will rule the world. Maetel must choose whether to become a machine to save her life, or to abandon her world to fight for freedom.

The artificial sun that lights the frozen planet La Metalle is dying, threatening to extinguish what little life is left there. Queen La Andromeda Prometheum decides that the only way for her people to survive is for them to submit to Hardgear‘s transformation process, which will turn everyone’s body into machines. The Queen’s daughters, Emeraldas and Maetel, refuse to submit to this process, and fight to stay human.

La Metalle, once the sister planet to Earth, is now covered by ice and snow; its inhabitants struggle to survive the crippling cold. All seems lost for humanity until a scientist named Hardgear proposes a solution called mechanization.  He intends to give each person a metal body that can withstand the planet’s harsh climate, effectively creating a world of cyborgs. Princesses Maetel and Emeraldes openly oppose mechanization, fearing that they will become heartless monsters; while their mother, the Queen, undergoes the process and in turn forces her subjects to do the same.  Determined to remain human, the princesses chose to face their destinies and take on the ruthless Hardgear, even if they must pay the ultimate price with their lives.
