Mahou no Yousei Persia

Pelsia lives in Africa with her Mama and Papa, but her parents think it would be better if they lived in Japan. While Pelsia’s parents are in Japan, Goken and his two grandsons, Gaku and Riki are taking Pelsia to her plane headed to Japan. The plane hits Lovely Dream, the Land of Faries, and Pelsia is the only awake in the plane and decides to take a look around. The Queen of Lovely Dream tells Pesia that she must collect Love Energy to save Lovely Dream from freezing, if she fails Gaku and Riki will become girls.

11-year old Persia has grown up alongside the animals on the Serengeti plains of Africa. Twins Riki and Gaku Muroi and their grandfather, Gouken, bring Persia to Japan with them, where she will live with a couple (who Persia calls Mama and Papa) that own a grocery store. During the flight to Japan, Persia finds herself in the “Lovely Dream” where she meets the Fairy Queen, who explains that the Lovely Dream is in danger and requests Persia’s help. Giving Persia a magical headband (which can also summon a magical baton) that allows her to transform into a teenage girl, connecting her to the Lovely Dream and allowing her to use magic. She is sent with three kappa back into the regular world with the mission of collecting love energy to thaw the frozen Lovely Dream. If Persia fails her task of collecting love energy or if someone catches her using magic, Riki and Gaku will be transformed into women.

Young Persia grew up amongst the animals and wildlife of Africa, but she has now been sent to Japan to live a normal life. While mid-flight, Persia found herself transported to a magical world where she was given an important task: collect love energy, so that frozen dreams will be melted and spring will return. However, if she does not succeed or people see her using her newly-bestowed magic powers, the people important to her will turn into women. Alongside her lion-turned-cat companion Simba, friends Gaku and Riki, and three talking kappa, Persia will learn about life both as herself and her transformed magical adult self, while searching out the needed love energy to save dreams.
