In her desk he finds a soldier's photograph and assumes he's found his father. He confronts the man, now a teacher, and gets nowhere. At home again, he mocks his mother. Finally, she tells him her grim story, from the year before his birth. We see a people's court, where Lily's parents seek justice for their grandchild to be. We follow Lily to a prison camp, to the city where she's told to inform on the only person who's been kind, to an asylum, and finally to her current poverty and loneliness. How will Malin respond to these revelations?

From this moment on, Karaivan is obsessed with the sole thought of taking revenge. He moves with his daughter into a cave high in the mountains, raises her as if she is a boy, trains her to fight and draw a bow. Deep in her heart, the girl has no hatred, but a craving for love. She meets a young Muslim shepherd and falls in love. The father is unable to swallow it and kills the young man.

Eurydice is a singer in a group that plays in country fairs. The group is not successful and Eurydice gets convinced by a rich farmer to follow him to Athens, where he promises her that he will make her a famous singer. Things do not turn out as promised, and Eurydice returns to the band, which is very successful now, due to Orpheus, a mute clarinet player, who has joined them. The farmer comes to reclaim her by force and Eurydice gets killed in a car accident. Orpheus tries to give her life with his clarinet.

Сомбреро блус (1999)

Rock musicians from Plovdiv arrive at a little village pub named "Nirvana" to perform. Pub visitors accept neither them, nor their music. Thrown out from their hotel, the rock musicians put up at Tosho the Gypsy's house, Tosho being somebody who searches for water with a dowsing rod. The guests befriend their host and even manage to find water in his well which he was unable to uncover. Tosho and one of the musicians are namesakes and his biggest regret is that he does not have a child of his own. As a party flares up in his poor home, Tosho rediscovers passion, but an unexpected event casts a gloom on the night.
