The film is a "reconstruction" of the real event of Sum Kuning’s rape that happened 10 years before, and sums up the lack of justice in the Indonesian courts. Sumirah, is raped by four vandals but during the investigation, the event is given a ridiculous interpretation when Sum is forced to confess that she was trying to gain popularity for herself. During the trial, the true facts are revealed gradually and this ranks as one of the best courtroom films ever made complete with spirited and lively dialogue.

He is then brought to a doctor in Yayasan Penderita Anak Cacat (a foundation that takes care of disabled children). The doctor tries to convince Arifin’s parents that although Arifin cannot be fully cured, he can still function like ordinary people. In the end, Arifin is treated in the foundation.

But Rani’s father, a rich man, who is authoritarian and very proud; is against Satria, who is merely the son of a poor widow. He allows this without any celebration and on condition that they will not be sharing a house, and that they will divorce after the baby is born. Everything changes when Rani gives birth to a pair of twins. Rani and Satria can be reunited.
