Macheath (Mack the Knife), notorious bandit and womanizer, runs afoul of Jonathan Peachum when he marries Peachum's daughter Polly in a ceremony of doubtful legality. Peachum's resolve to have Mack sent to the gallows is complicated by the fact that Mack's old army buddy is the chief of police, Tiger Brown. Peachum and his wife commence a series of strategems to ensnare Mack: bribing prostitutes to turn him in, exercising their influence over the police, and ultimately threatening to ruin the coronation of Queen Victoria by having all the beggars in London (whom Peachum controls) line the parade route. Mack is imprisoned, escapes, and is imprisoned again. When his hour of execution arrives, however, a mounted messenger appears with the Queen's reprieve, which includes a baronetcy and an annual pension of 10,000 pounds.

A sort of guardian angel, a strange character who follows her around at all times, will guide her toward solving her problems.

A journey into art that takes the viewer to the presence of Vinci's Last Supper but also among the "Seven Heavenly Palaces", the gigantic installation by Anselm Kiefer kept in the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca, or among the futurists of the Museo del Novecento. A journey into the history of the city, former capital of the Roman Empire, proud medieval municipality and one of the most splendid lordships with the Viscontis and the Sforzas. This route does not lack the most representative places of Milanese life today, such as the Central Station, the Gallery, the Navigli and the skyscrapers that have redesigned the skyline in recent decades.

Montalto, 2021. On the occasion of the historic 500th anniversary of the birth of Pope Sixtus V, the mayor of the birthplace of the famous pontiff, hires an author of religious musicals from the Marches, Angelo Santini, to create a show inspired by the famous papal events. Among these Angelo readapts one, under the cumbersome supervision of the village parish priest, and entitles it "Acqua alle corda", inspired by the well-known story of the obelisk in St. Peter's Square.The mayor is very pressing on the fact that this show must have an important resonance, and urges Angelo to find a theater company worthy of attracting the attention of the media. Angelo therefore involves a very high-level musical company which, thanks to its autonomy, completely upsets the religious spirit of the work,bringing it to a demented dimension, and consequently triggering unpredictable tensions within the country.
