Adventure film in an exotic setting based on the “Indian Tomb”: While visiting a circus in Germany, the Indian maharajah Gowan sees the rider Yrida, who comes from Swedish nobility. The maharajah falls in love with the circus rider and quickly sends the entire circus to Ceylon, where he courts Yrida. But Yrida loves someone else: the student Gowaran, who she does not know is the maharajah's son. In order to get Yrida completely under his control, the maharaja has her drugged and abducted to his castle in India.

His innocence is only proven when the temple dancer and lover of the maharaja chooses suicide. The maharaja abdicates and appoints his son as his successor. Now Yrida gets the man she really loves.

But Vera and her companion Baroff, a swindler posing as a baron, are on the prowl, and Conny loses the check to Baroff in a game against the supposed baron. When he realizes that he has been tricked, he rushes after the train on which Vera and Baroff are fleeing and has a serious accident. When Vera finds out, she reproaches herself. She meets Conny's brother Fred at the station and falls in love with him. Vera then decides to spend her future with Fred and fundamentally change her life.

Across German screens at the outbreak of WWII streaks "DIII88: The New German Air Force Attacks", an aeronautic and maritime spectacle glorifying Hermann Goring's Luftwaffe and the spirit of the newly arisen Germany. Once war became imminent, Joseph Goebbels instructed the German film industry to initiate production of numerous militaristic projects, but DIII88 was initiated by the Propaganda Minister's rival, Goring, who commissioned several aviation pictures. DIII88 is not a war picture per se, because it takes place in peacetime, but the young, fresh-faced air aces enthusiastically look forward to the coming war. The propaganda is blatant: The only thing that matters is dedication to duty and unconditional commitment to the Fatherland.
