When Lenka falls in love she suffers the ultimate injustice when her father and her family forbid her to marry the man. They see no advantage in such a union and want her to marry a wealthy local landowner instead, for obvious reasons. But Lenka is not as submissive as they think and she runs away to the city to look for the man she loves -- only to find a serious problem, though a surmountable one, is waiting for her.

At its time, in the second half of the 1980s, it was the first completely open and also unusually raw statement about the course and consequences of drug addiction. The story of an eighteen-year-old girl who tries to escape her habit shows documentary values - both in the staging and in the speech of the individual characters, in the authenticity of the drug-addicted environment.

Pravidla kruhu Pravidla kruhu (1988) Character: N/A
In the second half of the 1980s, so-called critical films began to emerge, but they were afraid to make a sharper statement, moving on the basis of an engaged morality that wanted to improve the existing conditions cosmetically at best. The theme of the search for a new anchor in life becomes a central element: the protagonist, after returning from the war, does not want to devote himself to the constraints of elite sports, he rejects the dubious business of a friend. Most of all, he would be attracted to a perfectly ordinary job in a bakery. The dance clip inserts, however, make it difficult to navigate the already rather confusing narrative.

The film is a humorous exploration of married life, exaggerating the image of a "tired" sex life of a middle-aged couple. The search for the reasons behind his workaholic partner's lack of interest in marital sex leads him to believe that she is unsatisfied with sex with him for one reason only: he allegedly has a small penis. While comparing the size of his penis with his friend Boris, he is caught by his wife Vlaďka, who becomes convinced that her husband Leon is having an affair with his friend. At the same time, Leon envies the rich sex life of his neighbor Tomáš, who works as a television producer, filming journalistic reports on fraud and corruption, with Vlaďka as his assistant. Putování Jana Amose Putování Jana Amose (1983) Character: N/A
The distressing fate of the Czech great Jan Amos Komenský, forced to leave his homeland after the White Mountain disaster. It depicts his encounters with various European personalities of the 17th century - the Queen of Sweden, artists and scientists. It emphasises the hero's nobility, but also his inner resilience, which allowed him to overcome many personal and professional tragedies. The parable of The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart becomes part of the story. However, Comenius's concept is sculpturally lifeless and, in particular, the religious dimension is "erased" from it. The simplistic biography therefore does not avoid schoolboyish dryness.
