Biography

Gabriella studied Performing Arts and Drama at Pretoria Technikon in South Africa. She is a familiar face on local South African TV, having performed in numerous TV commercials and TV series, including Egoli, The Lab and The Wild. Gabriella is an MC and dancer, her passion being Latin American and Ballroom Dancing. She won the title of Miss Italy in South Africa in the year 2000. Gabriella founded g casting in 2002, where she cast various commercials and TV series, including The Lab, for which she won a SAFTA for "Best Ensemble Cast" in 2007. She thereafter took a family sabbatical but returned to the Film and Performance Industry to perform inand co-choreograph a burlesque show entitled "Boylesque", thereafter she performed in, and co-produced/directed another burlesque theatre production entitled "Welcome to Burlesque". In 2015 she co-founded The Casting Couch with her friend and business partner Petro Magos. She has brought aboard her original team from 2002. Together her team bring their passion to the Film Industry to ensure that Directors and their clients "Get the Performance" they require.

Black Velvet Band Black Velvet Band (1997) Character: Louisa
Period drama Black Velvet Band takes us back to Victorian times when a gang of petty crooks find themselves sentenced to transportation to Australia, their ship, however, docks in South Africa and the gang manage to make their escape. The film starred Nick Berry, Chris McHallem and Todd Carty, who had all previously appeared in EastEnders together. The initial idea came from McHallem, whilst Nick Berry, thanks to being the darling of ITV at the time because of his hit show Heartbeat, had the clout to get it made.
