Biography

Ray LePere was an American actor best known for portraying Abraham Zapruder in Oliver Stone's 1991 film JFK. [1] Born on September 19, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, he built a career with supporting roles across film and television, often in regional productions and notable Hollywood projects. [1] His film credits include appearances in Tender Mercies (1983), Caged Fear (1991), and Perfect Profile (1989), while his television work featured roles in TV movies such as Cotton Candy (1978), Crisis at Central High (1981), and multiple episodes of the series Dallas from 1978 to 1985. [1] In addition to acting, LePere worked as a news broadcaster for KVIL radio station in Dallas and later in the communications department of the Dallas County sheriff's office. [1] He passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 88 after a long battle with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s. (grokpedia)
