Biography

Jenny Tomasin was a British actress most famous for her role as the "adorable, doe-eyed" scullery maid Ruby Finch in the ITV period drama Upstairs, Downstairs. Tomasin was born in Leeds to a working-class family that initially did not support her acting ambitions. Despite her household fame, she often felt that being typecast as a maid limited her later career.
