It is set in the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (the Chinese province of Manchuria) during the closing days of Word War II. Life for the Japanese colonists is tranquil, with none of the hazards and shortages occurring in the Japanese homeland. Then, on August 9, 1945, the Soviet Union, fulfilling its obligations to the Western Allies, declares war and invades. The local Kwantung Army folds up like a house of cards, leaving the Japanese colonists exposed to the invading Russians and Chinese.

This was all due to the Gun Bluster's special GP Chip invented by Professor Cusco gone haywire while emitting strange EM waves, making the machine a powerful weapon. To avoid further destruction to the city, Professor Cusco decides to destroy the machine before a rival association acquires it. It's up for the TRF Victorys and Rion race together and safely halt the Gun Bluster before its too late!

After crashlanding in the street, Zorori, Ishishi, and Noshishi are saved by a fashion design student whom Zorori later realizes is his mother. The alarm clock machine had become a time machine and sent them to the past. She and later Zorondo Ron, help the trio take back their time machine from the police and a kaijuu.
