A man kills a man he finds alone with his wife. Although she is innocent of any wrong doing the wife claims to be guilty of having an affair to save her husband from a death sentence. Unfortunately, the husband also believes her guilt and so he runs off to Africa to forget and assumes a new identity.

Mildred, a young stenographer, seeks protection at the mission run by Austin Farrol, known as "The Prince," when her employer, Trent, an unscrupulous politician, attempts to seduce her. Mildred begins to work at the mission and falls in love with Farrol. Farrol is accused of arson when a fire started by Trent destroys the mission. However, he escapes when the train he rides crashes. Farrol assumes a disguise, and gets a position in Trent's household. During a party, Trent's child falls from a window and is believed to be permanently crippled, but Farrol, with "divine power," is able to cure her. A lost film.

Shameful Behavior? (1926)

One time “plain Jane” Daphne Carrol returns from Paris a "polished" flapper. She sets her cap for her sister's brother-in-law, Custis Lee even though he is indifferent to her. When Custis’s brother, Jack, managing editor of the local newspaper prints a story of Daphne's return her picture accidentally appears over a news item about the escape of Sally Long from an insane asylum. Daphne gains entrance to Custis' house and poses as Sally, claiming him to be her husband. Fearful for his life, he humors her until he can engage a nurse to watch her. Daphne enjoys the joke until she discovers that her nurse is actually Sally--and Sally's husband tries to rob the Custis home. In the merry mix-up Daphne faints in Custis' arms and is forced to declare that she is his wife; after the complications are resolved, they decide to make the arrangement legal.

An International Marriage (1916)

Florence Brent is the daughter of Bennington Brent, who runs a successful laundry business. Florence's childhood friend, John Oglesby, is a Congressman. When Florence visits her friend, Eleanor Williamson, in Washington D.C., she meets Eleanor's fiancé, who is a Count. The Duke of Buritz, a countryman of the Count, tries to corrupt Oglesby for political reasons. Meanwhile, the Count breaks his engagement to Eleanor, having become enamored of Florence. Oglesby eventually exposes the duplicity of the Count and Duke.

Bringing Up Betty (1919)

During a lawn party at his New York home, steel magnate Theodore Morton claims he is bankrupt as a deterrent to Lord Dormer and the Duke of Medonia, two fortune hunters competing for his niece, Betty. After the suitors depart, unscrupulous Carl Gates is informed by his fiancée, banker's secretary Adele Shelby, that Theodore was lying. Carl pursues Betty, who accepts his proposal with the belief that the marriage will benefit her uncle. During a yachting expedition with Carl, Betty falls overboard and is rescued by architect Tom Waring, who is competing in a race. Tom wins with Betty on board, and a romance develops.

Marian appears, and failing to win him back she tries to ruin his reputation. Hampstead is accused of stealing some jewelry though actually he is protecting the scapegrace brother of his current sweetheart, Bessie.

John Warriner, facing financial ruin, accepts the proposal of a bootlegger, Benedict, to underwrite the business of illegal wine-selling. His daughter, Angela, takes up with the jazz set and is caught in a raid, at a cafe owned by Benedict. Her former sweetheart, Carl Graham, comes to the rescue and saves her from notoriety, while the family struggles back to its former respectability following Warriner's prison term.
