Biography

A Moroccan actor, born in 1947 in Casablanca. His mother was killed at the hands of the French occupation in the demonstrations of August 20, 1953. His artistic talent were discovered in 1960 at the youth center in the Mohammedi neighborhood in Casablanca, and he participated in the play Karkour Our Master Sheikh. He learned the techniques of acting, lighting, costumes and theatrical space, then joined Al-Tayeb Al-Siddiqi's troupe, with whom he performed many plays, most notably City of Copper, and Abderrahman El Majzoub's Poems. Then he moved to the world of television and then cinema, as he participated in the 1973 movie The Impossible Thing. He later participated in Italian, English and French productions, in addition to many Moroccan films, such as The Neighbors of Abu Musa, Nizar's Ghost, and The Weekend.
