When he reached his 30-s he has found himself a failure: his wife left him for a successful boxer, he got fired from a misearable job, and a morgage that he had to keep up paying off for years ahead. At the most desperate moment the character finds out that that his cunning classmate (Danila Kozlovsky) has become a prosperous businessman and announced a competition for high school students with the prize fund of over a million or rubbles. The main character looks a lot younger than he is, he even gets asked if he is of age when buying alcholol. He gets rid of his beard, fakes his DOB in ID and decides to take a chance in the competition assured that expirience can take over youth.

When five ambitious American college students are issued a grant to return to the site of the original events, they gear up with the belief that they can uncover and document the truth of what happened to the supposedly experienced hikers. But what they find is more shocking than anything they could have imagined. Retracing the steps of the Russians' ill-fated journey, the students are plagued by strange and increasingly terrifying phenomena that suggest that in spite of the desolate surroundings, they are not alone. The forces at work in the Dyatlov Pass Incident have been waiting for them.

Instead, the Russian team enters the final stage. The Russian Football Federation has only two weeks to assemble a team. Head coach Sorokin and his assistant Mikhalych invite to the team the football players who have today become "downed pilots": forwards Matveev and Sanaev are under investigation for a fight, defender Bushagov, after a loud scandal, is divorcing his wife, who demands huge alimony, young forward Kizyakov because of of his character sits on a bench and so on. They all lost the opportunity to play, earn big money, be idols and real stars. But Sorokin's plan - to give them a chance to return to their former life - does not work: the new team cannot work together, each player pursues his own goals, and therefore they do not form a team.

He strives with all his might towards his goal, but life makes its own adjustments, or rather death. Postponing everything for later, Danya starts an old disease and suddenly falls into a coma. He finds himself in the waiting room of the afterlife, which suspiciously resembles the airport from his latest commercial. There are only two flights — to heaven or hell. However, the chance to return to the world of the living is not lost either. While whiling away the time at the local bar "Darling, I won't call you back", Danya rethinks her life and tries to fix everything.
