Cemil and Osman made plans to marry Ceylan and move to Germany. However, there was another side to the coin—both of them were already engaged. The two make plans and pursue Ceylan, but Ceylan grows close to Erkin, an agricultural engineer working to improve the village's irrigation system. The village's water system is resolved, Ceylan does not go to Germany, and she makes a permanent return to her homeland.
