Biography

Tommy Lentsch is a SAG-AFTRA actor and producer. He plays the dangerous one and the serious one, but just as often the fun one, the goofy dad, the big character who makes you laugh. His path into acting started by accident. Working as a security guard, he answered a radio casting call for background actors and landed his first on-screen role, a paramedic in the 1993 thriller Trauma, starring Asia Argento. Then came a roughly twenty-year gap raising his kids. He came back in 2013, standing in for Clifton Collins Jr. on Parker, the Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez film, which put him up close with the camera, the lighting, and the sound. He was hooked. He looks so much like Matthew Perry that Comedy Central UK flew him to London to play Chandler Bing for the Friends 20th anniversary. He has appeared in Road House (2024), Black-ish, and Furious 7. He played the cult member in Nova Road and took a dramatic turn in Peace Bastard. He also works as a voice actor, voicing two characters in the independent film Aftermath, whose cast won Best Ensemble at both the Festigious International Film Festival and the Vegas Movie Awards. On the commercial side he is best known as Bud, the pool-crashing party guest in the Rentyl Resorts spot, with additional roles including Murray the Mummy in a Hotel Transylvania commercial for Nickelodeon and a dad in Disney spots. Behind the camera, Tommy produces independent genre films through Lentsch Productions. His producing work has earned four festival wins of its own, including Best Feature Film and Best Horror Feature for A Stranger in the Woods (Haunted House FearFest 2024) and Best Paranormal Feature and Best International Feature for The Black-Eyed Children (Haunted House FearFest and the Shawna Shea Film Festival, 2025). Still living in the 80s.
