The festive arrival of Sinterklaas is overshadowed by a huge problem: due to a large shortage of staff, the tradition threatens to disappear once and for all. Sinterklaas is desperate: where can he find new, good staff on such short notice? The youngest member of staff suggests they organize an audition in which everybody can show off their skills in order to become a member of staff; a so-called 'Piet'. Sem writes a letter to register for this audition immediately. If he can become a tough, strong 'Piet', his bullies will never harass him again. But what nobody knows is that Huibert Jan and his "Mammie" are trying to sabotage the audition with an evil scheme. Will Sem, Patty Pepernoot and 'Piet' Bennie successfully save the audition or is this the end of the festive and beloved Sinterklaas tradition?

The three crooks lure Bassie and Adriaan to Curacao to take care of them once and for all. This doesn't go as planned. Back in The Netherlands Bassie wins a trip to the USA in a TV quiz and takes Adriaan on a tour of the whole country. What they don't know is that de Baron, B100 and Handige Harry are on their trail.

Bassie and Adriaan have a diamond named after them. Escaped from prison, diamond thieves B1 and B2 attempt to steal it, dressing as Bassie and Adriaan. The actual Bassie and Adriaan are given three days to prove their innocence.

Professor Archibald Chagrijn exposes the world to his blubbering gas, which makes people sad and causes them to cry. Bassie proves immune to the blubbering gas -- as he has had an overdose of laughing gas. The professor is hiding on the Canary Islands, but Bassie and Adriaan manage to track him down.

Bassie and Adriaan find themselves abandoned by their own circus because they overslept, and with no tour-schedule in sight or any money they're forced to take other jobs -- losing each one. A malicious 'poltergeist' turns out responsible for their misery.

The film consists of a compilation of various films and songs. Special announcements and announcements have been included in the caravan decor for the film, just like 10 years of Bassie & Adriaan (1987) and The nicest songs of Bassie & Adriaan (1993).

Bassie & Adriaan are very well known among the young and old and have received an award for their great merit as people rescuers. Their eternal enemy, the old Baron, wants to prevent this of course and he commands his cousin 'Jonkheer' to abduct Bassie & Adriaan. Keet & Koen prove to be full successors to Bassie & Adriaan as they proceed into the exciting search for the famous duo that has been kidnapped.
