Highly regarded for his comedic timing, he gained widespread recognition through leading roles in television serials like Uncle Sam, Pabalu, Podi Mama, and Isuru Bhavana. Over his decades-long career, he has earned prestigious accolades, including Best Actor in a Comedy Role at the Raigam Tele'es and Best Comedian at the Presidential Film Festival.
