Biography

Ann Barrass was born on July 9, 1930 in England. Barrass was a ballerina and worked as a model prior to embarking on a career as an extra. Ann had cameos and walk-ons in over 600 films, TV shows, and advertisements; she continued working in those three mediums well into her 70's. Moreover, Barrass not only traveled to virtually every country in the world including Egypt, Kenya, Iraq, Iran, Australia, and Argentina, but also trekked in jungles, deserts, and prairies all around the world as well as backpacked in the Andes at age 78. In addition, Ann was also passionate about wild life, supported charities, and even adopted cheetahs in Africa. Barrass died at age 87 in November, 2017 in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. She was survived by her husband Patrick, sons Tim and Christopher, and grandchildren Julian, James, and Charles.
