Elsa Martinelli (January 30, 1935 – July 8, 2017) was an Italian fashion model and actress. Known for appearing in both European and American films, her popularity peaked in the 1960s when she was considered a formidable rival to "Hollywood Italian imports" Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida and Claudia Cardinale.
