Distinguished Artist Thu An (full name Nguyễn Thị Thu An, 1 May 1922 - 3 October 2011) was a Vietnamese actress, one of the veterans of Vietnamese cinema. She was best remembered for her roles as peasant women in "The August Star" (Sao tháng tám, d. Trần Đắc, 1976); the series "My Mother-in-law" (Mẹ chồng tôi, d. Khải Hưng, 1994); "The Retired General" (Tướng về hưu, d. Nguyễn Khắc Lợi, 1988). Thu An also had a part in the first feature film of Vietnamese revolutionary cinema, "On the Same River" (Chung một dòng sông, d. Nguyễn Hồng Nghi & Phạm Kỳ Nam, 1954).
