A short film made for BBC2, it features insight into the inspiration that Christ Church, Spitalfields gave the composer/performer, John Harle, in the composition of the piece 'Terror and Magnificence'. Writer Iain Sinclair and Professor of Architecture Keith Critchlow contribute with fascinating detail about the structure of the building, the neighbourhood and the overwhelming presence of this huge-scale Hawksmoor church, built after The Great Fire of London.
Reflection: A Film About Time and Relatedness Reflection: A Film About Time and Relatedness (1977) Character: N/A
Examines patterns that occur across nature and religious buildings. Sacred geometry proposes that mathematical principles exist in nature, ascribing them with symbolic meaning, and this film illustrates these ideas in sequences soundtracked by folk and progressive rock musicians Mike and Sally Oldfield. From the close study of flower patterns to the examination of church and temple architecture, this film reflects on the interplay between humans and the natural environment.
Chartres Cathedral: A Sacred Geometry Chartres Cathedral: A Sacred Geometry (2002) Character: Self

Forty-four magnificent stained-glass windows, including three rose windows, tell the story of the world from creation to the day of judgment.
