However, the expectations of a better existence are disrupted by the ever worsening social conditions in the 1930s, and living on the periphery of the big city allows even the little boy to see how evil the exploiters of the workers are. This is a graphic demonstration of how ideological features have also very insensitively crept into children's films. When Bobsha's father couldn't find work after an accident, he decided to sell the cottage and move to the city with his family. He lives in a small house on the periphery and the surrounding environment contrasts strongly with his former home. It takes Bobš a long time to get used to it. A loose sequel to the film "Little Bobesh".

Labakan is a lazy tailor's journeyman dreaming of a life of luxury and dresses himself in fancy clothes for the rich emir, and when he sees how respectfully people greet him in the marketplace, he seizes the opportunity that unexpectedly presents itself. The story of two sisters, whose lives are divided by the Iron Curtain, resonated with the audience with its truthfulness. Not only this production, but also the acting performance of Dana Medřická and Vlasta Fabiánová have become legends during their lifetimes.

Ivan Olbracht's novel from the 1930s, one of the artistic peaks of modern Czech prose, is a dramatic story about a war deserter, his love for the beautiful Eržica, a story about revenge for wrongs, persecution, betrayal and death. Šuhaj's fate merged with legends in people's memory. By combining elements of the past and the present, document and myth, the story turned into a ballad about how eternal and strong the human dream of freedom and happiness is.

And although the character of Vavřinec Konopka clearly dominates in this story, the great actor disciplinedly left enough space for his teammates, especially Jaroslav Marvan, Dana Medřická (her poisonous Petronila is an excellent figure), the modest Libuša Havelková and the bohemian Josef Kemr and everyone else. The director František Filip was actually the conductor here, who got a beautifully coordinated orchestra of soloists at his disposal... But let's go back to the century before last. Where is the dignified and rather burly official Mr. Konopka peláší? And even runs with a jet and without a hat…
