Camila Pitanga Manhães Sampaio (born June 14, 1977), professionally known as Camila Pitanga, is a renowned Brazilian actress known for her performances in film and television. The daughter of actors Vera Manhães and Antônio Pitanga, and the sister of actor Rocco Pitanga, Camila began her artistic career as a child at the age of six in the film Quilombo (1984). Throughout her career, she stood out in various television productions, including the telenovela Paraíso Tropical (2007), where she played the character Bebel, a role that earned her the APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics), Qualidade Brasil, and Contigo! awards for Best Actress. She also starred in Cama de Gato (2009), Lado a Lado (2012), and Velho Chico (2016). In cinema, Camila starred in films such as Caramuru: A Invenção do Brasil (2001), Redentor (2004), and Eu Receberia as Piores Notícias dos Seus Lindos Lábios (2011), for which she won the Prêmio Guarani for Best Actress. In September 2016, she was named the national ambassador for UN Women Brazil, committing to the defense of women's rights and the promotion of gender equality. In Beleza Fatal on Max, Camila Pitanga received a prominent role with great recognition, gaining significant attention for her performance, which became one of the telenovela's highlights.
