Biography

Pola Raksa (born 14 April 1941) is one of the most popular actresses in the history of Polish cinema. In the 1960s and 1970s, she was considered a sex symbol in Polish cinema. She is best known for her role as Marusia in the television series Czterej pancerni i pies (Four Tank-Men and a Dog). For her contribution to Polish culture, she received the Gold Cross of Merit (1974) and the "Meritorious Cultural Activist" Badge (1979). In 2003, readers of the "Super Express" magazine called her the most beautiful of all Polish blondes.
