It has been a year since mankind has deserted Paris. In the now abandoned city, a few survivors roam the ruins in search of food. Among them, a couple, trying to survive by all means necessary, tries to contact others.

But the Boulugres are deathly afraid of needles and refuse to be inoculated by anyone. Herbert, disillusioned, escapes into love with a Yugoslav airline stewardess.
