Carrying over the idea of everyday people doing all they can to make a living from the ‘Two Fools' series, director Chiang Wai-kwong brings ‘the fools'–Sun Ma Si-tsang and Tang Kei-chen–together once more for another wonderful farce that also cleverly touches on gender politics. After the first half shows the two stars' silly antics to earn their keep, the film dials up the romance in the second half as Sun Ma Si-tsang's character does a double gender reverse to pose as a woman's rich boyfriend. The film also touches on traditional men's frustrations as employers favour women.

烏龍王飛來艷福 (1960)

Entrepreneur Silly Wong returns from overseas having made a fortune there. His godson Tsim Tsui-mau and wife Ho Bit-siu, and friend George Cheung use every trick in the book, even hiring the alluring singer Lin Yung-so, to entertain and curry favour with the loaded returnee. Unfortunately Wong's saving, totalling 10 million dollars, is only due to arrive in two weeks. Penniless, he remains evasive over financial matters. Tsim thinks that Wong is a swindler and leaves in a fit of anger. Lin gives him a hand in his moment of need, and love blossoms between them. Mau and others believe that Lin must have gathered evidence of Wong's wealth and thus forcibly take him home. Realising Tsim's snobbishness, Wong admits to a fuming Tsim that he a broke man. Finally the money arrives. Wong cherishes Lin's love and marries her, but shows the door to the remorseful Tsim and friends.

Law Hing is forced by her stepmother to marry the dumb son of the Tang family. Another girl Au To is forced to marry Ma Siu-fuk, son of the rich Ma family, to pay off her father's debts. On the wedding day, To's lover See Fuk-chau returns from Vietnam. Deeply in love with Fuk-chau, To decides to go to the Ma family to decline the arranged marriage. To avoid the Ma elders and her father from losing face, she begs Siu-fuk to stage a pretended marriage. As the wedding ceremonies proceed, To's bridal sedan collides with Hing's in the street. The carriers lock in a row and a confusion reigns in which the brides take the wrong sedans. To is mistakenly taken to the Tang family, while Hing is sent to the Ma family. Although Siu-fuk is attracted to Hing, he agrees to send her home. The four families attempt to settle the case in court. The judge rules that the previous arrangements are but trades and declares them null and void. Fuk-chau and To can now fulfill their wish.

Siu-bo and Dai-bo bumped into each other during an occasion in Macau and decided to swap places to see their mum/dad whom they had rarely seen since birth. They were moved and persuaded their grandparents to reconcile with their parents. Despite warts and all, Chi-keung and Lan reunited and they all became a happy family again.

Scholar Yuen Man-lung leads a double life as Vigilante Golden Cat. Yuen is separated from his lover Tso Oi-lan by her snobbish father who promises her to Tsui Tai-fei, son of the magistrate and incriminates him as the wanted burglar. Yuen sneaks out of prison and wreaks havoc in Golden Cat's name; the exasperated magistrate has to release him. Before leaving for the imperial exams with the runaway Oi-lan, Yuen stages one final heist for his friend's sake. The officials trail Golden Cat to his house where his nocturnal costume is retrieved. His father is arrested as the criminal. Drawing a plan up her sleeves, Oi-lan's sister Oi-ling whisks the elder out of the execution ground. Despite failing at the exams presided over by corrupt examiners, Yuen saves the emperor on his homecoming journey, and returns triumphant as a duke.

But when the spirit disappeared for a long time in the country, the king offered a reward to the girl. Jin saw the place of the spirit through the golden bowl and sued the princess for hiding the bounty.

While Dog Stone is cunning enough to discover their identities, there are in fact more undercover agents in the club...Influenced by Hollywood's semi-documentary style, the film has a detailed yet complex portrayal of human nature－undercover anxieties, domineering gangsters and moral ambiguity. With its realistic chasing and action sequences, the film is nonetheless a very entertaining piece of cinema.

The mother and daughter look for the missing man but he hasn't the faintest idea who they are. Apprehended by the incident, Siu plunges into depression. One day, Lee passes by the stone house where the couple used to live in and recalls past episodes of his marriage. The family is happily reunited.

Rich in intricate details of everyday life, the film depicts a witty battle between vivid characters, and is a comedic portrayal of the relationship between mother and daughter-in-law through three generations.

夜盜美人屍 (1955)

It is a simple story with a deep meaning. When the beautiful chanteuse Hung (Law Yim-hing) is forced to marry Commander Lau (Lau Hark-suen), her brother (Cheng Wai-sum) interferes but is brutally beaten to death. Hung also falls to her death when she tries to escape. The siblings are only hastily buried in a coffin home, which is haunted soon afterwards. Hung's lover Wong (Wong Chiu-mo) later sneaks into the haunted house hoping to see her for one last time; Lau, meanwhile, insists on inspecting the coffin home and the corpses to prove that ghosts do not exist…The film creates an eerie and uncanny atmosphere with its well-designed camera angles, sound and editing. The haunting looks of the two ghost characters are a nod to Hong Kong's typically told horror stories.

Fok Tats scheme to raid a convoy of government reserve is intercepted by 'Ghost Knight'. Tat's son Sze-chuen learnt that his maid Ma Yuk-lan is the daughter of a general of the ousted Ming court who has donned the mask of a knight-errant to protect the son of the Ming minister Sze Ho-fat, Sze-chuen himself. Back in Deadly Valley, an impostor of Ghost Knight was caught. Slashing at the father, Sze-chuen is disheartened to learn that the faker, Ma's mother, has been transferred to the enemy camp in a feigned surrender orchestrated by Sze while an uprising is gathering momentum funded with money robbed from the corrupt official. Ma teams up with the father and son to storm the Chau Fortress and rescue Ma's mother. The couple champions the restoration of the old empire with Sze's seal.

Fong attends a ball hosted by his girlfriend's rich father Sze Kam-wing where evidences lead him to the Black Eye Bar. Wong befriends the recently widowed bar owner Lee Mei-chen and soon becomes enlisted as member of the ring and the ring leader's trusted aide. Falling in love with Lee, Wong is told that her husband was killed for leaving the organisation. Wong is however unable to establish contact with Fong with all outside communication cut off. Anxious to hear from Wong, Fong investigates discreetly at the bar. Mistaken for a cop, Fong is captured but helped to flee by Lee. Alarmed by Fong's escape and the leak of Wong's identity, ring members are just about to execute Wong and Lee just when the police raid the drugs den and arrest the ringleader—Sze.

Upon becoming Prince Regent, the bellicose Lord Biu of Wu sends commander-general Si Ching-wan to rage wars between the Zhao and Chen Kingdoms. A small state that is long on literary excellence but short on military might, Chen is defenceless against the invading forces. The compassionate general answers the pleading of the Chen princess, Fung-ming, to sign a treaty of peace. In his speech to the lord, Deputy General Lau Mo-yeung accuses Si of treason so as to lay claim to Chen. The lord dispatches the valiant fighter Lui Chen-sing to Chen on an assassination mission, but the assassin is vanquished. Si prevails on Lui of his patriotism. Lord Biu fights Chen. In a dire attempt to redeem Chen, Si surrenders to the Wu camp. Lui pretends to have blinded Si to extricate him. The duo ally with a band of chivalrous fighters to overturn the corrupt regime. Dispossessed of his throne, Biu commits suicide. Si returns to his land to serve as an aide to the young king and marry Fung-ming.

Production company Taoyuan chose for its inaugural film a comedy and Fong Yim-fun gets to take a break from playing long-suffering roles and showcase her talents in making us laugh! She plays the spritely titled character, brandishing a fresh image. The film is an adaptation of the literary classic Romance of the Western Chamber, in which the Prime Minister's daughter (Law Yim-hing), under siege from rebel soldiers, is rescued by a plan formulated by a poor scholar (Law Kim-long), with whom she is in love. But her mother (Poon Yat On) reneges afterwards on her promise to let the rescuer marry the daughter, and the clever Red Maid steps up as go-between, devising a series of sharp-witted tactics to help the lovers.
