Alice meets the extremely elegant businessman Christoffer Martensen, whom she marries in a small idyllic village church. He casually tells his future bride that he has read that the expression Tobiasnätter dates back to the Middle Ages, and that in this way one paid tribute to one's bride by being as chaste as the prophet Tobias was in the first three days of marriage. Their marriage also remains so, one day slipping away after another, triviality is taking the life of Alice.

Hunger torments them, and they stop with wide eyes at a bakery truck, whose back door is open and opens the view to sumptuous trays of pastries and mayor's bars. However, they get a long nose and wander on to an old castle, where they seek accommodation for the night. In the castle cellar they open a book - and immediately they are back in the exciting events and deadly battles of the 15th century. And again we are back in the castle cellar, where Fy now with a bang closes the dusty, old book, and the two set out on the country road again.

Based on the 1923 play The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley.

Mrs. Hald sends her two young twenty-year-old daughters on a cycling and swimming trip to North Zealand. Mr. Hartsen, a district court attorney who, incidentally, is married to a very jealous and combative wife, is taking his newly acquired Chevrolet for a long drive. When the two girls have everything stolen from them while swimming in the sea, they stop the first motorist they meet—and unfortunately, this happens to be our friend, district court attorney Hartsen.

At the Supreme Court lawyer's house next door, Mozart is on the program. But his daughters like both jazz and Peter! Even though their fathers are suing each other, the two young people still find each other. And Louis helps when he plays "The Formula for Love."

The 74-year-old widow, Juliane Cramer, is a very wealthy lady with an incredible appetite for life. Despite her advanced age, she rushes from one pleasure to another, from mannequin shows to boxing matches, and when her lawyer reminds her that it is time for her to write her will, she firmly rejects him. There is no urgency: "I have decided that I want to live for many more years, that's it". She is more than generous towards her nephews and nieces and their spouses. They all live in a property that belongs to her. That is why they have never paid a penny in rent. They know that, if things get tough, they can always 'borrow' a couple of hundred kroner or three from Aunt Cramer. So everything is very good - apparently...
