Biography

Dieter Herbert Nuhr (born 29 October 1960) is a German kabarett artist, comedian, author and television presenter. Nuhr's stage program nuhr in Berlin (the title is a pun; for explanation, see below) is the first German stand-up comedy which was created exclusively for Netflix. Nuhr is one of the most successful cabaret artists in Germany, with more than 200.000 viewers per year. Nuhr is regarded as a mediator between classical comedy and intelligent Stand-up comedy. In his work, he gives a critical glance to social behaviour in society and media, often satirising relationships and families. Nuhr has also been known to caricature the typical German know-it-all. A saying of Nuhr is frequently quoted in forums and newsgroups due to its provocative nature (and use of the semi-offensive word Fresse): "Wenn man keine Ahnung hat: Einfach mal Fresse halten", which roughly translates to, "If you haven't got a clue: Shut your puss for once." Nuhr 2021 - Der Jahresrückblick Nuhr 2021 - Der Jahresrückblick (2021) Character: Himself
2021 - Jogi Löw and Angela Merkel leave the sinking ship. Both leave construction sites behind: The national team does not play climate-neutrally and the Federal Republic lacks the right game tactics. Quite different is the trio of Branson, Musk and Bezos, who are already building a corona-free future in space without a rental cover. One thing is certain: they all come down. This is especially true for Armin Laschet. The candidate for chancellor has freed his CDU from the burden of the government. The question arises more and more often: Who is playing for whom? And why 5G when you can also have 2G. Dieter Nuhr looks back on 2021, a year full of misunderstandings. And he does what he always does. His analysis is remarkably unobjective, but always subjective and hilarious. From the Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast.
Nuhr 2013 - Der Jahresrückblick Nuhr 2013 - Der Jahresrückblick (2013) Character: Dieter Nuhr
A year comes to an end, a year full of mystery: Why did the Pope resign? And Uli Hoeness didn't? Why doesn't Angela Merkel have a bug-proof cell phone? Why does Boris Becker stick fly swatters to his head? And what on earth will become of Philipp Rösler? At least there were a few answers. A goal is also a goal if the ball flies through a hole into the net. And from the outside. Edward Snowden finds shelter with the flawless democrat Putin. And Ikea's moose lasagna is made of pork. That's not nice. But funny. Dieter Nuhr looks back on everything the past twelve months had to offer.

Dieter Nuhr: Nuhr in Berlin: A Netflix Original The cerebral and popular German cabaret comic expounds his theories on gender norms, primal instincts and a decidedly gastrointestinal Big Bang.
Nuhr 2025 - Der Jahresrückblick Nuhr 2025 - Der Jahresrückblick (2025) Character: Self
2025 – Donald Trump was re-elected US president, but he did not make it to the papacy after all. Incidentally, Germany held elections early in the year and Friedrich Merz was elected chancellor without any alternative candidates. So Dieter Nuhr will once again have plenty of material for his satire this year.
24 Wochen 24 Wochen (2016) Character: N/A
Astrid is a comedian who makes people laugh for a living; her husband Markus is her manager and the two of them work well together. They have a nine-year-old daughter and are expecting their second child. When they learn that their child will not be born healthy, they are at first optimistic that they will be able to meet this challenge – although they have no idea what awaits them. But the closer it gets to the due date, the more Astrid begins to worry about the future of her unborn child as well as that of her family and her career. After many discussions and arguments Astrid realises that the decision that will affect all their lives must be made by her alone. What complicates matters further is the fact that, as a successful entertainer, she is in the eye of the public and the media.
Sharknado 5: Global Swarming Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017) Character: Talk Show Guest
Fin and his wife April travel around the world to save their young son who's trapped inside a sharknado.
