The Miserly Knight

A tragicomedy teleplay based on the drama of the same name by Alexander Pushkin from the "Little Tragedies" series. The original interpretation of the Baron, brilliantly portrayed by People's Artist of the USSR Georgy Menglet, was widely praised by theater critics and the press. For this role, Georgy Menglet received the "Russia's First Love" award in the category "For Fidelity to Pushkin's Words."
